KCC (Kouklia Community Council) has arranged for 2 skips to be positioned at the water reservoirs for bulk item disposals. This is specifically for old or unused household items
(furniture, appliances etc...) and does not include garden refuse or construction refuse. Garbage refuse is already collected via the yellow KCC bags which can be purchased at the KCC offices.

Construction refuse is the obligation of each individual owner and as such, should be disposed of directly by the owners.

The skips will be located at the water reservoirs between the 20th and 30th of each month. We hope that you will find this free service offered by KCC useful. Should you have any queries, please contact the
KCC.

Water Restrictions

1. A meeting, attended by all the Paphos Councils District and representatives of the Cyprus Water Board was held on 14   March to discuss the above problem and the need to introduce water  restrictions in the district.
2. At this meeting the following decisions on water conservancy were taken by Kouklia Community Council and are to come into immediate effect:

  3. Irrigation of gardens is to be reduce to a level which will keep plants alive, but no more.
  4. People are strongly advised not to put any more plants in their gardens.  No new laws are to be laid.
  5. Planting in new gardens should be kept to the minimum and drought resistant plant should be used, wherever possible.
Property owners are to check all pipes, taps etc. for leaks, to prevent wastage.
