The Community of Kouklia was destined to become a tragic point of reference ever since the crash of the National Guard's helicopter, which resulted in the death of the Chief of the Armed Forces and another four of their elite members.
The Community Council of Kouklia has decided the raising of a monument at the venue where the BELL 260 crashed, reminding the sacrifice of the five officers while in the line of duty.
The monument is simple and prudent. An eagle stands on each of the five tall columns, which constitute the monument.
